Auch seit der Neuregelung 2011 bleiben die Mindest- und Hchststze gleich – mindestens 300 Euro und hchstens 1800 Euro im Monat. Die Hhe des Elterngeldes wird nach dem Durchschnittsverdienst der letzten 12 Monate vor der Geburt errechnet, sie liegt im Normalfall bei 67 Prozent des Einkommens.
Beim Bundesfamilienministerium gibt es einen Elterngeldrechner, mit dessen Untersttzung die Hhe des Ihnen gebhrenden Betrages errechnet werden kann.
Rckwirkend werden nur die letzten drei Monate, bevor der Antrag bei der Elterngeldstelle eingegangen ist, bercksichtigt, deshalb ist eine rechtzeitige Einreichung des Antrags durch die Eltern wichtig.
Nicht zu vergessen ist, dass zum Elterngeld beantragen noch einige Unterlagen beigelegt werden mssen, wie zum Beispiel eine Geburtsbescheinigung fr das Baby, ein Nachweis ber die Einknfte vor der Geburt und eine Erklrung ber die geplante zuknftige Arbeitszeit. Die Einreichung des Antrags erfolgt bei der zustndigen Elterngeldstelle.
